When you really need to make an impact, go big! This 5m diameter world globe was placed on the rooftop garden of a big hotel in Dublin in April, in the run up to Earth Day.
This massive structure sits on a supporting doughnut ring which also acts as a disguise for the ballast clipped underneath to the ring and the ball to keep it in place.
As a nod to sustainability, this globe is in recyclable nylon material running off an internal fan. We used a really powerful 300W RGBW LED light inside with a colour changing remote control, to cast a strong glow so it could be up at night aswell.
The ball can be used with or without the ring, depending on the setting. Below you can appreciate the scale of the structure!
