BBC Wales approached us to help with their World Cup promotional Tour in which Wales plays a big part. Originally they were going to make bucket hats out of fibreglass to put at key venues all over Wales, but of course the inflatable option is a much cheaper, quicker and portable idea! One hat and plinth will be touring round Wales through November and potentially at the England v Wales clash at the end of November. They are sealed units inflated with a handheld battery fan so power at open pitch sites is not an issue.
The hat and plinth can be used independently of each other. To create the slightly rumpled effect of a bucket hat we have done a 2nd nylon skin slightly looser than normal. The badges are interchangeable depending on the lead BBC team at each venue.
