We have just finished making this giant inflatable tunnel or inflatable cover for our customer design & projects. This tunnel will be used to cover trains when they are being painted so that they are to exposed to the elements.

We have recently designed, manufactured and installed these giant inflatable tunnels for our customer 'The Human Race' for the 10km Winter run in London city centre. Our customer wanted the tunnels to resemble a 'Yeti Cave', we worked with the client to design a cave entrance which was printed on the front beam of the tunnel. We installed 2 x spheres for our ongoing customer In2Events for Epson at the Excel in London, one of the spheres was internally lit with LED lights to draw more attention to the stand.The hot air balloon was also installed for the same event but was for a different end customer on another stand, we think it looks great and is very eye catching.Another great install by our trained operators!

Imagine recently installed this Black advertising blimp for our customer Aston Barclay. They installed a fitment on there building for it to be tethered to, and have a large building for it to kept inside overnight.They were really happy with the install and the blimp.

Imagine have made lots of these fully printed Inflatable water pool arena, they are for our customer Tornado. They are a model radio controlled boat supplier, and these arenas travel with them to help them display there boats at shows in Orlando. They previously used other substrates that were much heavier for the boats to sail in, this solution has saved them lots of money in shipping the goods overseas for there shows.

We continue to get more and more interest from the automotive industry for our inflatable cars, used as stationary or moving test targets for LIDAR, SONAR and RADAR sensor testing. This month we have 2 new export clients requiring the moving car target : the top part of a car attached to a really strong inflatable “sledge”, with a “skirt” wrapped around to cover it. We designed and manufactured this giant dog for 'The Family Pet Show' in Manchester. this Giant pooch was placed at the entrance of the show to show which way the entrance was situated. The customer was really happy with the dog and it helped to attract attention of the event goers..

We made an inflatable replica of the Fisher Price children’s toy telephone but this was 4x4m in size. It was made as a cold air filled inflatable out of nylon which took a lot of internal sewing and hours to make but we were very pleased with the final product and so were our customers BJA Design. This was installed at the London Science Museum by our trained operator over the weekend for the show there.

The Royal Albert Hall asked us to produce a giant doughnut ring that could take a 200kgs payload. We have used a marine grade 0.90mm PVC tarpaulin which is often used in the manufacture of dinghies. Here it is in taking centre-stage at the Royal Albert Hall, it is used to inspect their rigging and to perform maintenance.

The Nardo Technical Center in Bari, Italy, provides technical support for prestige brand Porsche. They asked us to make 2x life-sized inflatable cars for static crash testing. Attached our most popular model the VW Golf, and the Mazda CX-3, with separate front and rear bumpers to mitigate impact damage, and radar pockets to front/rear/sides for sensor testing with LIDAR, RADAR and SONAR.

Our valued client Valeo in Ireland came back to us with a referral via their sister branch in Germany, Valeo Switches and Systems GmbH. They wanted a crash test wall to be used for sensor testing with a moving target. We based our design on the NCAP style test target we made for Audi Australia earlier this year (see April blog entry), using a really robust multi-filament material which gives an ideal flat surface. We were asked to scale down our lifesize Philips scanner for the Swiss Institute of Technology to use in seminars at the university. The scanner is 1.5m tall as opposed to the lifesize 2m tall, so not suitable for actual demonstrations of getting inside, but perfect as a showpiece. Lightweight, around 9kgs so great for exhibition use.

This year we have returned to Cannes for the Festival of Creativity , where our previous yellow lion has been replaced with a brand new white one in heavy duty (and wipeable) tarpaulin to fit in with this year’s theme. Imagines team of trained operators installed the 25m long inflatable worm for our customer MSL in Germany last week. The event was marking 10 years if the fight against the disease SC (schistosomiasis) #MAKINGSCHISTORY and it certainly got a lot of attention! Autoliv USA asked us to reproduce our car + inflatable rib design which the Swedish parent company has previously used as a moving vehicle test target. The ultra-strong 0.9mm marine grade PVC tarpaulin rib attaches to the top part of a VW Golf, with a detachable branded “skirt” all around to create the complete car effect.

Stanford University in the USA asked us to recreate the VW T4 Eurovan (called Caravelle in the US) in their college colours, to be used in automotive crash testing. The life size vehicle was 4.7m L x 1.84m W x 1.94m H and was a pantone matched base colour. There were radar pockets all around to pick up the RADAR and SONAR systems.

This Zorb arena was made for our customer advanced sports.It has been specifically designed for the client to suit bubble football play for their brand ‘Zorb Mania’ to be used as an enclosure. Northampton County Council have created a federation of legal organisations which work in partnership with the Council. NCC has 51% ownership, and the rest is owned by the Northampton NHS Trust and the University of Northampton. We were approached by Northamptonshire Sport to make a 6m x 4m arch for their first event under the new umbrella organisation. Hopefully we can do more work with the other members of the team after the success of the first event.

For the 11th year running we have been flying an advertising blimp for the RMT Union at their annual meetings, parades and demonstrations. Each summer our operations team goes to London, Durham, Diss in Norfolk, and Tolpuddle in Dorset to set up the blimp at their events. Maritime House in London is a tricky location - surrounded by high buildings, strong cross winds, a narrow launch area and jumbo jets overhead! But the blimp can be seen from a good distance and is always a talking point.

For the first time Imagine have the honour of working for the prestige brand Mercedes Benz. We recently made five small inflatable printed balls for our customer Fisher Productions. We were asked to produce these in just under 10 days and we rose to the challenge. Our operative installed these working with the exhibition stand builders at Claridges. Our customer was over the moon with the fast turnaround time and quality of the products. I’m sure we will do more work with them in the future but with a little more time hopefully!

One of Jenny's latest projects was for York Minster. We were approached by the Minster and asked to initially cost and survey to supply and install 9 x inflatable lighted planets. We travelled to York to survey the site and look at what our client wanted to achieve visually and logistically. Once the order was placed we manufactured the spheres which were fully printed to look like the planets and were very realistic with photographic digital print. Our customer 'Riot of Colour' were a pleasure to work with and we managed to turn around the order in a very fast time. One of our big projects this year that Jenny is managing is a new concept inflatable. REBO Wall. This product is made with a new type of material. It is a fibreboard that gives a perfectly flat finish which is the perfect solution for our client REBO. Imagine produced another inflatable VW Golf for Denso UK to use in autonomous parking tests which use sonar as opposed to RADAR or LIDAR. The radar pockets we added all around the car were filled with aluminium foil which sonar picks up very effectively.

From the Guardian newspaper 17th MarchOn behalf of the National Housing Federation Imagine launched the largest helium filled special shape it had made in 14 years! A 7m square inflatable house with full surface print to all sides (including the foundations on its base!) was flown on Hampstead Heath on 17th March to kick off a pre-election campaign for affordable housing. This weekend Imagine Operator Joe Harris has succesfully carried out Ops for the Giant Inflatable Green Star that caught the eyes of the nation this weekend! Alongside designing and manufacturing this inflatable helium shape for the demonstration, we have also supplied a really unsual inflatable shape which was a hand puppet. This was also seen in the march accross London on Saturday.

Imagine have created a gigantic 13M Wide Inflatable Football Dome / Event Station. Working to a customers brief we have designed and manufactured this structure to house a cage football game. Imagine have designed and manufactured two arches for North Devon Road Runners. The first event they were used at was Barnstaples first ever marathon. We made both a Single Led and Double Leg Red Arch. The Double Leg is sometimes prefered as it is a lot easier to install as it will stand freely.

We manufactured and supplied remote operated lighting systems for 9 x Inflatable PVC Spheres for an exciting festival in a forest called no6 Festival. We turned the spheres round in just a few weeks. We made 4 x 1.5M Spheres and 5 x 1M Spheres. They were positoned in various places around the festival and looked fantastic at night when lit up.

St Thomas Hospital in London asked us to create a replica of an MRI scanner in their Paediatric wing. They wanted a 2m x 2m inflatable version so that they could give young children the chance to have a “trial run” so that they would not be so scared getting into the real thing. Imagine has just delivered 2000 helium foil balloons to Aspinal of London. They ordered 2 designs of these gorgeous owl balloons, 1000 white and 1000 dark grey. So this weekend Team Imagine Inflatables took on the challange that is Tough Mudder. We decided to register for the Midlands event earlier in the year and use it as a team building exercise outside of our usual work enviroment. Jenny's latest project she has been running is the design, production and installation of a giant 15 Metre Inflatable Tunnel at various locations around the UK for the Sky Ride cycling event. RPM facilitated the event and Imagine worked to there specific brief to design, manufacture and provide a full event management service for. We made 2 product replicas for the officialwater brand of the Virgin Money London Marathon, Buxton. They were 2mhigh made out of 0.28mm PVC, the straps are adjustable so they can fitany person comfortabley. The inflatables were placed at the water stations at mile 13 and 22 where bottles of Buxton water is given to the runners.

Following on from our success at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, in June of 2013 we were asked to tender for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. We were asked by BMW to create an inflatable car to use in radar sensor crash testing. This comprises a base “sledge” in heavy duty marine grade PVC tarpaulin. This is a repeat design for an established automotive Swedish client. A 3.7m long PVC version of the upper part of the VW Golf car is tied to a heavy duty 0.90mm PVC tarpaulin “rib”, which acts as a protective sledge so that the car can be towed behind a moving vehicle, thereby becoming an effective moving “target” in collision testing. The rib is covered by a nylon “skirt” to create the full visual effect of a VW Golf.

A life-size representation of the Fiat 500 was created for an advertising company in Germany, for their customer IVECO, an company that makes cars and trucks. IVECO will be using the inflatable Fiat 500 in crash and radar sensor testing. The inflatable version is a much cheaper alternative to using real cars in collision testing. Aluminium foil can be placed in radar pockets so that the radar and LIDAR systems can pick up the moving car.

The Nottingham Building Society wanted to recreate their mascot Robin Hood as an inflatable, to be placed inside and outside their branch in the centre of Nottingham to draw people in. The 2m tall character was a sealed unit i.e inflated then sealed shut, thereby averting noise from a fan and also allowing for it to be easily portable by branch staff. With his bow and quiver of arrows, this was an intricate and complex design which required attention to small details.

The new Lotto is here! Imagine were part of the launch of the new national lottery at the beginning of October. Honda in Japan ordered 2 lifesize replicas of the Honda Jazz, a small hatchback, to be used in crash radar sensor testing at the Honda Institute in Slough and also at its counterpart in Germany, The Honda Akademie. The car has radar pockets on all sides which can be filled with a reflective material such as foil, which the radar sensor should pick up. It also has separate front and rear bumpers to protect the main chamber in an impact scenario.

We have just completed making a 10m diameter inflatable dome. It was made from lightweight nylon on the inside and heavier weight tarpaulin on the outside. This enables us to reduce the total weight of the dome. The dome had full digital printing to the outside. It was made for Corby Council for their energy aware promotional programme to educate the public on how to reduce their carbon footprint in their home and reduce energy use.

Imagine recently made a giant cold air filled Hockey Pitch for England Hockey. This was a special remake for Sky Sports as they have now started sponsoring England Hockey. We recently created an inflatable CT Scanner for the University Hospitals Southampton.The scanner was to be used as a training tool for doctors and nurses as getting access to a real CT scanner can be very difficult when they are in high demand by patients. The scanner was 2m high x 2.4m wide and the hole had to be the same size as on a real scanner (around 90cm diameter)

We have recently completed a cube building for a shopping centre based in Staffordshire.The cube was 4m x 4m x 3m high and had the centre logo printed on the roof so that people on escalators could see it as they travelled down.As the cube would be used for different events throughout the year it had the option to add removable branding onto each side and above the front door.

Imagine were asked to create 4 space hoppers to look like giant maltesers. They would be used by girlband the Saturdays to have a race on Westminister Bridge.We created the spacehoppers by handpainting over 4 85cm space hoppers we had already produced. The logo was then applied over the front and back of the hopper.Maltesers were an official partner of this years red nose day so were used to promote doing something fun to raise money for the charity.

This 4.2m long x 1.78m tall inflatable motorhome was made to enhance the Camping & Caravnnning Club’s stand at the NEC on 19th February. This is not lifesize, but a scaled down version of an Elddis motorhome. The inflatable was branded on all 4 sides along with a website address promoting a competition.

Over the past few weeks Imagine have been working on a giant football pitch and event dome for a college based in Lincolnshire.The football pitch was 42m x 25m but was able to be split into two smaller half sections via a removable central inflatable barrier wall. We have recently been working on 3 blimps for Frith Rugs. The blimps were going to be used to advertise 3 of the companies stores in Cannock, Swindon and Denbighshire. A few weeks ago we were approached to produce a giant inflatable disc with the word "stop" on one side and the number "28" on the apposite side.The inflatable was to be used in a new TV advert for the NHS to advertise stoptober. On the 6th September Imagine installed a giant inflatable arch that had been custom made for a 5k fun run.The Jones Lang LaSalle Property fun run was in co-ordination with LGN and all money raised at the event in Regents Park was donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. We have just completed production of 300 space hoppers for Cadburys Easter Campaign. As you can see the hoppers were produced to pantone match Cadburys purple colour and they then had a 4 colour process print logo printed. Here at Imagine we have recently completed an order for a quantity of small android alien inflatables! They were produced for Kenwood to use at the Gadget Show Live. The inflatables were pantone matched to the androids green colour and were then printed with the kenwood logo. At 40cm tall they make a great giveaway item!

We recently got asked to produce 2 zorb balls for Aeros new "Making the World a Bubblier Place" campaign. The zorb balls were used to place chocolate bars and balloons inside and were taken to different cities to advertise the new shape of the aero chocolate bars. The zorbs were 2.6m in diameter and we produced a zip to ensure the balloons and chocolate bars didn't fall out once inside!

Northampton NHS needed to give impact to an awareness campaign for colonic cancer. So they approached Imagine for an innovative solution. The creative team set about creating a novel approach and designed a 'walk through' curved tunnel. These are diamond kites produced for Amnesty International as part of Freshers week. We can produce various sizes and shapes including small pocket kites which are great for giveaways. To highlight their 'XD' summer roadshow, Disney wanted an eye-catching feature and hence approached Imagine to create a giant inflatable obstacle course! To highlight the premier launch of their 'Bee Movie', Paramount Pictures commissioned Imagine Inflatables to produce a giant helium filled version of 'Barry Bee' - the films' main character. The 30 ft high bespoke inflatable dwarfed the gathered crowds as it hovered and bobbed above the entrance to the Empire Cinema. Imagines' team of operators managed to get Barry in posistion on the prestige balcony in a prime spot above the red carpet! His 'larger than life' presence caused a real 'buzz' amon....

Imagine has created another Giant Inflatable Pudsey Bear for this years' BBC Children In need Event.Pudsey was accompanied by experienced operators from Imagine Inflatables on a grand tour around Wales. Co-ordinating with staff from BBC Wales, Pudsey met up with an outside broadcast team at various locations strectching from Anglesey to Newport and Conwy to Swansea. So during the week leading up to Children In Need night, the huge air filled Pudsey helped spread the important mess....

The centre of London may not seem an obvious area for members of the Caravan Club to enjoy their activity?!.. However to help celebrate their centenary the club decided to participate in the Lord Mayors Show! To ensure they stood out from the crowd (procession!..) they asked Imagine Inflatables to develop some impressive helium filled inflatable units. These took the form of a life size motor-home, caravan and 'land-mass' depicting the countryside they enjoy! The resultant 'floats'(!) certainly ....

It was that time of year again?.. When Ernst & Young asked Imagine Inflatables to take their large bespoke inflatable (yellow?!..) pig on a tour of Universities during 'fresher weeks'. As in previous years this is used to promote the companys' enterprise initiative for students while perhaps opening their eyes to the opportunity of a career with Ernst & Young. A newly developed football academy at Loughton, has incorporated various facilities to keep the whole family entertained as well as excercised! The ambitous plan relied on large inflatable dome buildings to provide reception / booking and briefing areas for participants. Each of the domes, was kept inflated by its own separate blower - but also interlinked with the oyhers by integral tunnels.
