We were asked by BMW to create an inflatable car to use in radar sensor crash testing. This comprises a base “sledge” in heavy duty marine grade PVC tarpaulin. The top half of an inflatable VW Golf attaches to the sledge with straps. A fabric skirt representing the bottom half of the VW Golf then wraps round the 2 parts to cover the sledge and the attachments. The inflatable as a whole can then be attached to a moving vehicle , or placed as a target to be driven towards, without damaging a real car!
