Since 2017 Birmingham University has been undertaking a huge project to create a large area of parkland in the heart of the campus.
The Green Heart will be a focal point for students, the local community and events, opening up views across the whole campus as envisaged in the 1920s. Throughout the design process the team have sought to create a sustainable, environmentally friendly space, and the Green Heart launch coincides with a number of Sustainability events coming up.
Imagine installed a giant 10m ground-based sphere which represents the volume of 1 tonne of CO2, to highlight the importance of these issues.
