It is Qatar’s equivalent of our FA cup.We were asked to design the large inflatable central sphere which, via external projection was used as a giant inflatable projection screen.Following on from our success at the Sochi Winter Olympics we designed the working prototype for the giant 15m diameter central Sphere with hanging skirt. We also created, supplied and installed 150 x 1.3m diameter lig....

Imagine created an 8m long silver sprayed helium cloud within a very quick turnaround time for the handover ceremony from the Gold Coast to Birmingham for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Our operators had to learn on the day the timings and choreography for the live show event, and all went to plan. The cloud performed as it should have on time and on cue.

Following on from our success at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, in June of 2013 we were asked to tender for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Our brief was to reproduce St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow as a floating group of 15 domed towers coming together, as well as 30 large sealed ground based characters. These latter units were a mixture of animals and articles brightly artworked with a famous Russian pottery design that is the equivalent of Wedgwood in the UK.   We were given ....

Imagine were asked if we could use our skills and knowledge to paint a yellow raft gold. The paint had to be suitable so the inflatable could be used in water. Here is what we were able to achieve:After we had completed the task we found out that the raft was being used for gold medallist Ellie Simmons to experience the new Tropical Cyclone water ride at Center Parcs Elveden Forest. The special gold raft was to celebrate where it all began for Ellie as she learnt to swim there. Here are ....
Friday September 7, 2012 at 11:32am Imagine were asked to tender for a huge 5m diameter inflatable golden apple to be used in the Paralympic opening ceremony alongside some smaller more realistic looking helium filled apples.LOCOG wanted the small helium filled apples to have a diameter of no more than 130cm. This presented us with a problem as the PVC we usually use to produce helium filled items would not float with a volume this small. After some investigating we found a much lig....

Thursday August 2, 2012 at 3:20pm Imagine were asked to tender back in 2011 for the supply and operation of 4 giant helium clouds to be used for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. After a long drawn out process we learnt of our success with the tender and it soon became a huge project for us to manage in terms of design, logistics and manufacturing. LOGOC expressed their desire to have the clouds looking 'fluffy'....

Imagine were asked to create 10ft, 20ft and 40ft high Olympic Mascots. Wenlock and Mandeville would then be going on a tour of London, visiting all the boroughs before and during the Olympics and Paralympics. The 10ft and 20ft high mascots were cold air sealed while the 40ft high ones were a cold air filled system with a constant running fan.
